2009 ANZMAC Annual Conference > Call for Papers
Call for Papers
The ANZMAC 2009 Conference Committee invites submission of competitive papers and posters for the 2009 Conference. All papers and posters should reflect the conference theme 'Sustainable Management and Marketing'.
The conference will be held at the Crown Promenade Hotel (Southbank, Melbourne) commencing on Monday 30 November 2009. The conference will be preceded by a doctoral colloquium (commencing on the evening of Friday 27 November - Sunday 29 November 2009).
Details for Authors
All papers must be submitted electronically and must be received by Friday 26 June 2009. Competitive papers must be submitted for review in only one (1) track
. Authors should identify the most suitable track relating to the subject matter. Where multiple entries of the same paper are received, authors risk that their preferred track for the paper may not be selected as the Proceedings Chair will nominate the track in which it will be reviewed.
Details of the online submission process are given at Guidelines for competitive papers.
Papers must conform to the format instructions. Please keep an exact copy for future reference. Papers will be subjected to formal double blind peer review. Authors will be notified of acceptance, rejection and/or suggested modifications as soon as the review process has been completed. Decisions by Track Chairs are final. Please see key dates
for submission and revision deadlines. It is a condition of acceptance of the paper that at least one of the authors must attend the conference and present the paper. However no author may present more than two papers at the conference.
Reviewers for ANZMAC 2009 will judge all manuscripts on the basis of their contributions to the development of marketing thought, marketing science or marketing practice. Papers will be judged on their overall quality and their contribution to the theme of the conference. Papers that merely review the literature are discouraged.
Tracks
ANZMAC 2009 offers well established tracks as well as a number of new tracks for paper submission.
Special Sessions
In addition to the advertised Tracks, ANZMAC 2009 Conference will also include provision for Special Sessions. Special Sessions provide an opportunity for focused discussions on new, innovative, emerging topics or under-represented areas within marketing.
A Special Interest Session has three or four presentation and can include a discussant as a way to promote discussion between the participants and the audience from which a larger understanding of the topic can emerge.
A limited number of Special Sessions will be accepted. Proposals must include a rationale, an outline of the issues to be discussed and the name(s) and qualifications of a proposed Chair(s). Please refer to Guidelines for Special Sessions.
Organisers of special interest topics are invited to submit a proposal for consideration by the Conference Committee.
Email all proposals for Special Sessions to the [email protected].
Poster Presentations
Poster presentations provide an opportunity to meet and talk with peers who have an interest in your field of work. Your poster will be one of many. To grab the attention of the hundreds of conference delegates, it is important that your poster effectively expresses your research and its results in a creative and visual way without the need for an extended explanation.
Details of the online submission process are given at Guidelines for posters.
Publication
All papers accepted for presentation following the formal review competitive process will be published in the Conference Proceedings. These proceedings will be provided to all conference delegates, and will be available for sale to the general public. Proceedings will have an ISBN. The copyright of papers will stay with the authors.
